(♀) Eye round, truncate-sinuate in front. Antennal cavity small. Antenna hairy, reaching to base of prothorax; segment 3 shorter than 2; club loose, segment 9 a little longer than apically broad, narrower than 10 and 11, 10 broader than long, 11 asymmetrically elliptical, large, nearly as long as 9 and 10 together. Prothorax closely applied to the elytra, with a lateral carina from base to apex, the side of prosternum somewhat concave. First tarsal segment shorter than claw-segment.
Type: A. punctiger, sp.n.
The insect reminds one a little of Brachytarsus fasciatus, Forst. (1771), in the carinate sides of the prothorax.
